Time for bed

Before bed, Brooks always asks for some milk. I don't like him to have milk before bed because for 1 I don't want him to wet the bed and 2 it's not good on his teeth to fall asleep with milk in his mouth! So I told him "No hunny,your teeth will fall out if you drink Milk before bed but I will get you a small glass of water." He looked at me somewhat concerned and asked "Does water make your teeth stay in?"

A good plan and a lesson in borrowing

Brooks and I were dancing to his 10 little bears song and I was pretty much sick of hearing it over and over and over... so I told him that I needed to go see what we had to make us for dinner and asked if he would like to come help me. He looked at me and said, "I think we should dance until another song comes on and then we could go make dinner. Does that sound like a good plan?" I had to laugh, and agreed that yes, it did sound like a good plan :)

Then this morning as I was getting ready for work I was using a clip to put my hair up while I straightened it, he was sitting in the bathroom watching me and asked me "Is that Erin's clip Mommy?" Erin is my brother's girlfriend who he had seen using a clip that looked the same. I told him no that this one was mine. But he insisted that it was hers and asked "Did she let you borrow it?" I just though how grown up of my baby boy, he is just getting to big! He must have got the concept from when we rented a movie the other night and I also let him pick out a couple of books from the Library but I was so impressed that he really understood what borrowing was Smart little shit :)

The Little Bird

Last night when Brooks & I were driving home, we were jammin' out & dancing to Lady Gaga's Poker Face (1 of Brooks' favorite songs that he requests EVERY time we get in the car, along with Taylor Swift & Johnny & June) And I hear him say "The window is dancing too Mommy!" It was raining and sure enough the windshield wipers were dancing along with us :) Then when we get home he yells to me "LOOK MOM! A little Bird." It was to late and to dark for a bird to be out so I ask him where. He said, right here on my finger! He had a booger on his finger and to him it must have looked like a bird...ew at least he didn't eat it!

Oh the things he says

Brooks takes after his mom and seems to think he is hilarious! Which a lot of the time he's right :) I have decided to keep track of some of the funniest things that he says and post them when I can, I bet it will be even funnier when he is bigger and we can look back on all the silly things he said. I don't know where he comes up with half this stuff! He is really into re-telling stories and of coarse there is a lot of emphasis on everything and it's all very exciting. I wish that I saw the world the way he does, I hope that it doesn't wear off for him! He also has a lot of imaginary friends, that he plays with and talks to almost to the point where it's frightening. He definitely has a great imagination! Last night I got my first

"You're a mean Mommy!"

He runs from me EVERY time I try to get him dressed and finally I was sick of it so when I caught him I put him in time out and told him that I had asked him many times before not to run from me, that I would be glad to play with him, other than when it's time to get dressed. Apparently that was mean!

Bowling for Jess' birthday

To celebrate Jessica's birthday we went bowling :) it was super fun! I'm not the best bowler but luckily I had Brooks to take my turns, after all he is better then me! He also thoroughly enjoyed the Oreo cake Marah brought and visited the drinking fountain about 100 times. Latif was sweet enough to take him to the arcade and play games with him. He ended up getting enough tickets for some stickers a parachuting monkey and a bracelet for Jaycee ;) Hope you had a good one Jess! Love you

Jaycee's Birthday

Brooks was so excited to build a bear for Jaycee for her birthday!

She loved it :) They get along really well! He helped her open some of her gifts, and had fun helping her break in her new toys. She was good to share!

Here comes Peter Cotton Tail

The plan for today was to get some pictures of Brooks in his Easter outfit, but it snowed last night :( We decided to go ahead and do them anyhow since it was such a beautiful day and the snow was melting. It's not like I can't just take some more! He is always a good sport seeing as how my camera's favorite place is in his face, but I thought it was funny today when he told me "You're taking a lot of pictures Mommy!" I did not get very many so we will definately be re-taking but he does look like a stud with his new hair cut!

Sarah's Bachelorette Party

My sweet Sarah has decided to elope, I wish her well and just hope she is fully prepared for what she is getting herself into :) It's a whole new world! We got together for her last shebang as a single gal! We had lots of fun answering some personal questions and pinning the junk on the hunk ;)
